- SaaS mode requires GoHighLevel’s Agency Pro plan and a connected Stripe account.
- You create your own plans, choose which features each includes and set your prices.
- Rebilling lets you pass on SMS, call, email and AI usage with a markup.
- A niche snapshot plus automated onboarding is what makes SaaS mode profitable.
- Price on the outcome you deliver for a niche, not on generic CRM features.
SaaS mode is the feature that lets an agency sell GoHighLevel as its own software. Clients sign up, pay you a monthly subscription and get a sub-account automatically, without you creating anything by hand. Done well, it turns one-off setup projects into recurring revenue. Done poorly, it becomes a support burden. This guide covers the setup and the decisions that matter.
What you need first
- The Agency Pro plan (previously called SaaS Pro), which unlocks SaaS mode and rebilling.
- A Stripe account connected at the agency level to collect payments.
- White label branding in place: custom domain, logo and email. See our white label guide.
- At least one tested snapshot for the niche you’ll sell to.
Step 1: Connect Stripe
Connect Stripe in the agency billing settings. Use a Stripe account in your agency’s legal name, with your branding on receipts and the customer portal. Test with a small real transaction before launch.
Step 2: Create your SaaS plans
In the SaaS configurator, create plans, set monthly and annual prices, and choose which features each plan includes. A common structure:
| Plan | Includes | Who it’s for |
|---|---|---|
| Core | CRM, pipeline, conversations inbox, calendar, review requests | Owners who mainly need follow-up and booking |
| Growth | Core plus funnels, workflows, email campaigns and reputation tools | Businesses running ads and campaigns |
| AI | Growth plus Conversation AI or Voice AI answering | Businesses that want 24/7 response |
Each plan should load a snapshot automatically, so a new client starts with a working setup instead of an empty account.
Step 3: Configure rebilling
Rebilling passes usage costs, such as SMS, calls, email and AI, to your clients with a markup you choose. Clients top up a wallet, and usage is deducted as they go. Decide whether to include a usage allowance in your plan price or bill all usage separately. Including a small allowance usually reduces support questions.
Step 4: Build the signup flow
- A sales page or funnel explains the offer for your niche.
- The checkout uses your SaaS plan, so payment creates the sub-account.
- The snapshot loads pipelines, workflows, calendars and templates.
- A welcome email sends the login link and an onboarding form.
- Onboarding answers fill custom values like business name, hours and phone.
- A task reminds your team to start A2P 10DLC registration for the new account.
Step 5: Support and retention
SaaS revenue is only recurring if clients stay. Plan for:
- A short onboarding call or a recorded walkthrough for every new client.
- A help center with videos for the five tasks clients do most.
- A monthly results email: leads received, response time, appointments booked.
- Proactive checks for broken integrations, failed messages and unused features.
Common SaaS mode mistakes
- Launching without a niche: generic offers attract price shoppers and churn.
- Empty accounts: clients who start with a blank sub-account rarely succeed.
- Unlimited usage promises: heavy texting can wipe out your margin.
- No support plan: every question lands on the agency owner.
