GoHighLevel White Label Setup for Agencies: The Complete Guide

Your clients should log in to your platform, not someone else’s. Here’s every step to white label GoHighLevel, from the custom domain to onboarding new sub-accounts.

Key takeaways
  • White labeling GHL means your domain, logo, colors and email, so clients see your brand everywhere.
  • The core steps are a custom app domain, branding, an email sending domain and a support setup.
  • A branded mobile app is a paid add-on; the free LeadConnector app works in the meantime.
  • Snapshots turn your best client setup into a repeatable product.
  • Automate onboarding so a new client goes from payment to a working account without manual steps.

GoHighLevel was built for agencies, and white labeling is one of its biggest advantages. Done properly, your clients log in at your domain, see your logo, receive emails from your brand and contact your support team. They never need to know what platform sits underneath. This guide walks through each part of the setup.

Step 1: Set up a custom app domain

Choose a subdomain such as app.youragency.com. Add the CNAME record GoHighLevel provides in your DNS settings, then enter the domain in agency settings. Wait for SSL to provision before sending clients the new login URL. Use a subdomain you’ll keep for years, because changing it later means new links for every client.

Step 2: Apply your branding

Upload a logo sized for the sidebar, set a favicon and choose brand colors. Rename the platform in client-facing places where options allow, and replace default help links with your own support resources.

Step 3: Configure your email sending domain

System notifications and client emails should come from your domain. Set up a dedicated sending subdomain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC records. This protects deliverability for every client and keeps your main domain’s reputation separate.

Step 4: Decide on the mobile app

Clients can use the free LeadConnector mobile app straight away. If you want the app listed under your agency’s name in the App Store and Google Play, HighLevel offers a branded mobile app as a paid add-on. Many agencies start with LeadConnector and upgrade once they have enough clients to justify it.

Step 5: Build snapshots

A snapshot is a copy of a fully configured sub-account: pipelines, workflows, funnels, calendars, custom fields and templates. Build one per niche you serve, such as roofing, dental or real estate, and load it into each new client account. Keep a changelog so you know what each snapshot version includes. We build these as a service in GHL snapshots.

Snapshot tip
Leave client-specific values, like phone numbers, addresses and calendar availability, as custom values. Then onboarding means filling a form instead of editing twenty workflows.

Step 6: Automate client onboarding

  1. A client pays through your checkout or proposal.
  2. A workflow (or SaaS mode, see our SaaS mode guide) creates the sub-account and loads the right snapshot.
  3. The client receives a branded welcome email with login details and an onboarding form.
  4. Form answers fill custom values, so the account is ready with their name, phone and hours.
  5. Your team gets a task list for A2P registration, domain connection and a kickoff call.

Step 7: Set up support

White labeling only works if clients come to you for help. Add your help center link to the sidebar, connect a chat widget to your own support inbox, and create short video walkthroughs for common tasks. If support load becomes a problem, a white label support desk can handle tickets in your name.

Common white label mistakes

  • Sending clients the default login URL before the custom domain is live.
  • Using your main domain for bulk email instead of a sending subdomain.
  • Building every client account by hand instead of from a snapshot.
  • Forgetting A2P 10DLC registration for each client’s texting.

Basic branding and a custom domain are available, but agencies managing many clients typically need the Unlimited plan, and reselling GHL as software with client billing requires Agency Pro.

With a custom domain, branding, your own email domain and a branded mobile app, most clients won’t see GoHighLevel’s name in daily use. Some technical areas and links may still reference the platform.

It’s a paid add-on with its own pricing on HighLevel’s site. Many agencies use the free LeadConnector app until their client base justifies the cost.

A snapshot is a reusable template of a sub-account’s configuration, including funnels, workflows, pipelines, calendars and custom fields, that you can load into new or existing accounts.
